Most of our products are vegan. You'll find this info on the individual product page just underneath the ingredient list. The product labels also include the ingredients (in case you already purchased it).

The following products contain certified organic beewax: Bottom Balm, Breath Balm, Calm balm, Bed Head Balm, Nipple balm and Skin Balm.

Yes! We use glass jars and bottles, and PET plastic jars and bottles. 
PET plastic is PVC and Bisphenol-A (BPA) free and can be recycled multiple times without losing its strength.

Our glass and PVC jars can be washed and re-used for multiple purposes. Basik-ly they’re handy little containers for a mini piggy bank, storing hair pins, earrings, jewellery, hair ties! Or use them for pens and pencils or simply fill it with soil and plant a miniature flower.

We use packing peanuts to make sure your products arrive safe and sound. They’re manufactured from renewable resources and made of 100% natural starch. So they’re compostable, and disintegrate when you hold them under running water!

Our care cards are 100% eco friendly, our box mailers are 100% recyclable please feel to re use for shipping or BasiKly paint the box or line with fabric to make a stylish container.

Soft transparent plastic bag for our BasiK Belly Band comes from the manufacturer itself to protect the band during transportation, this bag is great for travelling purposes or simply recycle it.

We use the most effective and purest certified organic ingredients without any synthetic preservatives in our products. We recommend a shelf life of 12 months, to ensure maximum quality and freshness.

There is an exception to the case, which is our Body Wash. The recommended shelf life is 6 months for this product.

This is of course a guide only. Many of our products can last even longer than this.

We recommend you use your own judgement on how long you use your products for. If they have changed in colour or have an unusual smell, we recommend discontinuing use.

To extend the shelf life of our products please ensure they are kept in a dark, cool place, and always use clean, dry hands when using. 

We have the purest and most effective clean ingredients made for everyone suitable from new-born to 99 years old. Although our products are designed to cater for all skin types everyone’s skin is different.

If you have a history of allergies, we highly recommend reading our ingredients label and patch testing before applying new products. If you do have a reaction, please discontinue use immediately and we recommend you consult your doctor.

No. And that’s how we like it. We test them on ourselves, and other humans too (with their consent of course).

No. Our balms and creams contain shea and cocoa butter which, when exposed to changes in temperature can form crystals and give a grainy-type texture. These crystals will melt on the skin once you apply and they don't change the quality of the product. If your balm or cream has gone grainy and you would like to reset it to a smooth consistency follow the below steps.

Fill a small dish/bowl with hot water. Place balm jar in water, ensuring no water gets into the jar. Leave jar in water for 15-20 minutes (or until balm is re-melted). The fuller your jar is the longer it will take to melt.Carefully take jar out of water and, using a skewer (or small, clean spoon or spatula) stir the balm well until it is mixed thoroughly and free from lumps and grains.Put the lid on the jar and place in fridge for 15-30 minutes, or until balm looks to have re-set. The consistency of the balm should now be smooth.

Keep the jar in cool, dark place and avoid extreme changes in temperature (if you can) so that the balm does not go grainy again.

Our balms, butters and creams contain all-natural ingredients, and no synthetic preservatives so their consistency is prone to change with extreme weather changes.

If the weather is very warm and your balm has arrived in the post and is in liquid/super runny form, we recommend popping it straight in the fridge for 15-30 minutes to help re-harden it.

Keep the jar in a cool, dark place and avoid extreme changes in temperature (if you can) so that the balm does not liquify again. 

Both products have been used on sensitive and easily irritated skin. We have found our Skin Balm is more effective at soothing dry skin conditions. We highly recommend using it regularly, in combination with our Milky Bath Tea.

Of course, we recommend seeking medical advice for dry skin conditions. We do not claim to cure any skin conditions. 

Both of these products are free from fragrance (even though we only ever use 100% organic essential oils in our products, we left them out for these two), great for use on sensitive and easily irritated skin.

Our Skin Balm has a barrier cream effect, due to the beeswax we added in, and we have had amazing feedback from people using it to help ease and soothe dry skin conditions, chapped lips and skin. It takes a little longer to sink into the skin and has a rich consistency- a little goes a long way.

Our Organic Cream is full of beautiful oils so once again you only need a little for it to be effective, but it does sink into the skin after a few minutes. It is great for super-dry skin and is wonderful for those who need a thick, rich cream to use for a body moisturiser or night cream for the face.

Our handmade products have natural variations.This sometimes means that each batch can vary very slightly. If your balm, cream or oil is slightly harder/softer, darker/lighter or smells slightly different than the last one you ordered rest assured we're still using the same amazing ingredients.

Our Nail Polish are water based, yes we can ship outside Australia, this will be cleared marked on the shipping box.

Please note that our Trio Pack Water Base Nail Polish does not contain DBP CHEMICAL, TOTUENE OR FORMALDEHYDE however anything can catch fire in an open fire.

Because our range is made in small batches, to ensure freshness and quality, please allow 3-5 working days for your products to be made. Once they are made postage usually takes 2-5 days within Australia. If you receive your products and they have been damaged in transit please send us an email at info@basikorganics.com.au. Please also include a picture of the damaged product/s in the email.

If you would like to return our products and receive a refund, the products must have not been open and used. And must be in the same original condition that you received them in. Proof of purchase is also required.  

We will not be able to offer credit on items opened/ used and we do not offer exchanges either. 

When returning an item to BasiK Organics the shipping cost is the responsibility by the customer. We do not offer any refunds on shipping.
